Hi, I’m Barbara Ann (Ba Ba Ba, Ba Barbara Ann!) and at my foster home I am known as the sweet, clever pup who can't resist climbing into a human lap for pets and snuggles. I was very reserved when I first got to my foster home, but now I LOVE to sneak out of my safe kennel area to find my foster dog sister and/or humans to give me the attention and companionship I've always craved. I am a little treasure hunter, and bring all sorts of found treasures (shoes, mittens, pacifiers) back to my kennel to horde...but I will quickly drop if you catch me in the act! You can usually find me either tailing or wrestling with my favorite dog foster sister (who has really helped me learn how to "dog") or quietly taking a nap in my kennel, surrounded by toys I've brought in with me. I would do really great with another dog in the home to continue to help me build confidence. I am still working on learning to go outside on a leash, but I am doing a good job using potty pads inside for now. My foster humans think I'm clever and expect I will continue to do great on training when I get into my forever home.
Since the rescue doesn’t know who my mom and dad are, my exact breed and size when grown is an estimate, but my foster mom has convinced herself that I have some dachshund (
long skinny nose, webbed paws, long-ish body, small size) mixed with something that gives me longer legs and a beautiful sweeping tail!)
What I can tell you for sure is that I would bring my best self and be a fabulous addition to my new home. I can’t wait to keep blossoming into my true self and I can't wait to meet my forever family!
Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners. Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.
