Meet the Snowboard Crew: Burton, Nitro, Capita and Arbor
These puppies are from our reservation partner in South Dakota - and we are all so happy they
are safe and out of the cold!
Capita is being fostered with her siblings, other (large) resident dogs, cats and kids. In typical
puppy fashion, she loves everyone and everything.
It's hard not to smile whenever you see Capita (or Cappy, as she is affectionately called). Her
ears are SO cute and she is such a gentle girl. She is frequently the first one to explore new
scenarios (toys, areas of the yard, new objects etc) and is a ring leader of the tug-o-war
bandwagon! She loves to play with toys - and especially loves to thrash the crinkly toys around!
Capita is working hard on house training. Her foster family lets Her outside everything 2-3
hours during the day and she does great on a schedule. Capita sleeps in a crate overnight and
doesn't make a peep.
While we don't know her exact breed makeup, we do know that Capita has some
herding/working breeds in her DNA! This means her future family will need to develop a strong
training plan to keep her mind and body active.

INTERESTED IN MEETING ME?

If you’d like to arrange a private meeting or begin the adoption process, please fill out an adoption application by visiting    https://www.healingheartsrescue.org/adopt

**Note on breed and age determination:

Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners.  Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.

ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:

  • Wellness check
  • Spay/neuter (puppies adopted with required spay/neuter certificate)
  • Age appropriate vaccines - rabies and distemper combo
  • Heartworm test if over 7 months of age
  • Fecal test and/or deworming for parasites
  • Microchip

~ Healing Hearts rescue will also provide dental procedures, bloodwork, surgeries, and/or any other additional vet work as needed while dogs are in our care.
