Meet the Snowboard Crew: Burton, Nitro (adopted), Capita and Arbor!
These puppies are from our reservation partner in South Dakota - and we are all so happy they are safe and out of the cold!
Capita is being fostered with her siblings, other resident dogs, cats and kids. In typical puppy fashion, she loves everyone and everything.
It's hard not to smile whenever you see Capita (or Cappy, as she is affectionately called). Her ears are SO cute and she is such a gentle girl. She is frequently the first one to explore new scenarios (toys, areas of the yard, new objects etc) and is a ringleader of the tug-o-war bandwagon! She loves to play with toys - and especially loves to thrash the crinkly toys around!
Cappy is working hard on house training. Her foster family lets her outside every 2-3 hours during the day and she does great on a schedule. Cappy sleeps in a crate overnight and doesn't make a peep.
Fun fact - her foster mom taught her how to walk on a treadmill! It is a great way for puppies to build confidence and get some physical and mental energy out. Cappy is also working on other basic cues like sit, wait, shake and down. She is a quick learner and very food motivated.
Capita is very likely a mix of 10+ different breeds and we don't know what is exactly in her breed mix! We can guess she has some working and herding breeds in her DNA, so be prepared for the smartest puppy around!

Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners. Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.
