**CONFIDENT COMPANION DOG REQUIRED IN HOME**
 

Lizzy does not understand personal space! She loves to be near, or preferably on, her people. While wary of strangers her food motivation makes it easy for strangers to become friends and even besties. Lizzy has loved everyone she meets in the home and now expects strangers to have treats. She did great at her last adventure to the pet store! She went up to strangers for pets and treats!! She even politely meets dogs big and small!

She currently lives with two cats. She does not chase them! She seems to enjoy interacting with them. She also lives with a 70 pound dog that is her bestie! And a small grumpy dog she ignores, which is what he wants. 

Lizzy is spunky and energetic. She would love more training and would do great at athletic type activities. 

She is crate trained though she might fuss for a minute or two but settles in quickly. She does great at potty outdoors but will stil have accidents if  not in a schedule. When her humans are home she goes out every couple hours but is able to hold it overnight.

Lizzy loves sweet potato chews, yak milk bones and treats! She will come running for treats!  Lizzy loves all kind of toys! She does well on a leash but still needs some direction.

Lizzy can be nervous in new situations but is confident at home and becoming more confident out and about.

**Note on breed and age determination: 

Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners.  Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.

ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:

• Wellness check
• Spay/neuter (puppies adopted with required spay/neuter certificate)
• Age appropriate vaccines - rabies and distemper combo 
• Heartworm test if over 7 months of age
• Fecal test and/or deworming for parasites
• Microchip ​

~ Healing Hearts rescue will also provide dental procedures, bloodwork, surgeries, and/or any other additional vet work as needed while dogs are in our care.
