Hello! My name is Katara and I am such a fun girl. My foster mom and dad say that I give the best snuggles. I also figured out how to play fetch and it’s so fun!  My foster mom says I’m so smart and very motivated to learn. I love getting treats and being told how good I am. I am an active girl and would love a family that would take me on walks and play with me.

I have several dog foster siblings and a cat foster brother and I love all of them! I attend a lot of social events are have never met a dog I didn't get along with. I also love kids of all sizes, I currently live with a toddler and love to play with her. I am on the smaller side and my foster mom thinks I like kids so much because they are my size and full of energy like me.

I’ve mastered my potty training, but I still have the occasional piddle accident when I'm excited. I also do great in my kennel when my foster mom and dad are away and overnight. 

Here are some of my favorite things:

• Treats
• Chewy toys
• Cuddling with my foster mom and dad
• Playing of any kind. I love to play with dogs
• Meal times
• Being outside

**Note on breed and age determination: 

Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners.  Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.

ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:

• Wellness check
• Spay/neuter (puppies adopted with required spay/neuter certificate)
• Age appropriate vaccines - rabies and distemper combo 
• Heartworm test if over 7 months of age
• Fecal test and/or deworming for parasites
• Microchip ​

~ Healing Hearts rescue will also provide dental procedures, bloodwork, surgeries, and/or any other additional vet work as needed while dogs are in our care.
