I'm Valerie and am estimated to be 5 y.o. but you surely would guess that when you meet me. I am a fun, playful, attention seeking, cuddle dog (once comfortable). I play with my sister with enthusiasm and vocalizing. I need another dog to play with and keep me company. I start out shy but warm pretty quickly. I love being out in my fenced yard and welcoming to neighbor dogs when I see them. I am crate trained, am an excellent listener, and can basically follow commands. I love food and treats almost as much as I like cuddling with my temp family, humans and other dogs.

Note from my foster mom: Valerie is very sweet and an extra special gal who loves her sister (Padme, also listed). Not believed to be bonded pair, it would be great if they could go together. They love one another and have spent all or a good deal of their lives together. Playing, care and mutual support could make transition to a forever home more simple.

**Note on breed and age determination: 

Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners.  Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.

ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:

• Wellness check
• Spay/neuter (puppies adopted with required spay/neuter certificate)
• Age appropriate vaccines - rabies and distemper combo 
• Heartworm test if over 7 months of age
• Fecal test and/or deworming for parasites
• Microchip ​

~ Healing Hearts rescue will also provide dental procedures, bloodwork, surgeries, and/or any other additional vet work as needed while dogs are in our care.
