Hi - my name is Vila. I’m a little girl with a big personality. The first chapter of my life was spent living with a breeder down south where I shared a kennel with other dogs. But that didn’t break my spirit it only made me more excited for chapter 2.

Since arriving in Minnesota, I’ve been learning to potty outside on a schedule, walk on a leash, and hang out with my foster parent's two large dogs. With all this warm weather I’m spending more time outside in the backyard exploring and listening to all the different sounds. I do require a securely fenced yard while I become more comfortable walking on leash. I can tell that everyone is happy with me because they keep telling me what a smart and funny girl I am.

I don’t care for my crate but since I’ve got it all to myself it’s not so bad and I’m getting used to it again. Shared walls are not recommended since I can get vocal when left alone. When my family is home I am a chill little lady, so at the end of the day, my foster mom loves to cuddle with me while watching our favorite shows. This is the best part of my day! If you’re looking for a smart, loyal, cuddle bug I’m your gal. I’d love to meet you so we can make chapter 2 the best one yet!!

**Note on breed and age determination: 

Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners.  Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.

ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:

• Wellness check
• Spay/neuter (puppies adopted with required spay/neuter certificate)
• Age appropriate vaccines - rabies and distemper combo 
• Heartworm test if over 7 months of age
• Fecal test and/or deworming for parasites
• Microchip ​

~ Healing Hearts rescue will also provide dental procedures, bloodwork, surgeries, and/or any other additional vet work as needed while dogs are in our care.
