Oh hey! I'm Uncle Jerry! I am a nearly 2 year old, adorable Shih Tzu who can’t wait to meet you! 

My temper is docile and playful. I love all types of humans and dog friends.   I will need home with another small canine companion as my true confidence comes out when I’m with a friend who can teach me things. I am comfortable with cats but have not been exposed to children. 

I have been working on bathroom training outdoors and as long as I am on a consistent schedule (4 hour increments) I am house broken. I am not fond of walking on a harness and leash yet so I’ll need patience as I learn. I have learned to go up a small number of stairs and am working toward going down. Working from home is my favorite task; lounging nearby. 

I am a silly young lad and I love to play with toys. I do not know my name but get familiar with patterns and will recall on my own terms with playfulness when approached to assist in guiding me to my next task.

**Note on breed and age determination: 

Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners.  Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.

ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:

• Wellness check
• Spay/neuter (puppies adopted with required spay/neuter certificate)
• Age appropriate vaccines - rabies and distemper combo 
• Heartworm test if over 7 months of age
• Fecal test and/or deworming for parasites
• Microchip ​

~ Healing Hearts rescue will also provide dental procedures, bloodwork, surgeries, and/or any other additional vet work as needed while dogs are in our care.
