Are you looking for an awesome snuggle buddy and a companion dog who also loves to play? If so, this affectionate boy may be your dream dog! Ranger is an awesome mix of a fun playful boy and snuggly dog who wants to be near his people. He will snuggle in with you on the couch, sit at your feet by a desk, and curl up next to people in bed when allowed. He is good on a leash for potty breaks or short walks and doesn’t require extended time outside as he would rather be inside with you. He enjoys playing with and snuggling with other dogs, but he seems like he would also enjoy being the only dog as long as his humans are willing to give him some play time with toys. His play can be a bit energetic for smaller children, so we are recommending older kids would be best. With other dogs he can be competitive with food so needs to eat in his own space, and may try to get the best sleeping spot, but overall he mostly enjoys playing with and snuggling by other dogs. He can make a first impression of being a bit hyperactive, but quickly settles into a routine with lots of snuggles and would love to be in a home where the humans are home the majority of the time as he gets anxious when left alone. Despite this, he does well in a crate when left alone and overnight and is crate trained very well. He is a puppy and would benefit from basic obedience training and a confident dog owner who can be assertive with training to continue learning good manners. He is very intelligent and eager to please and is learning quickly! He bonds strongly with new humans and will make an excellent companion and lifetime friend and gives so much love!

Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners. Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.
