Charlie Matthew and Luke would like to find a forever family where they could go together. They are both sweet little boys who like attention and are good at adapting to any situation. They are very quiet in the kennel and will go in on command. They love to be outside and going for walks, as they are pretty good on a leash.

Charlie will sometimes bark at passing walkers/dogs, and also when hearing noises in the backyard, but other than that, both boys are generally very quiet. They are mostly potty trained, with Luke being the only one who has had an accident in the house when I left them out of the kennel while being gone for a bit as a test. Otherwise with a regular schedule, they are great about going outside.

Charlie and Luke get along great with the other two resident dachshunds, and all the other dogs they have met in the neighborhood. They are also great with the neighbor kids.

Charlie and Luke are really just the easiest and most well adjusted dogs and should fit into any family situation quite easily. They are very will mannered and well behaved and just love to be around their family members.

**Note on breed and age determination: 

Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners.  Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.

ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:

• Wellness check
• Spay/neuter (puppies adopted with required spay/neuter certificate)
• Age appropriate vaccines - rabies and distemper combo 
• Heartworm test if over 7 months of age
• Fecal test and/or deworming for parasites
• Microchip ​

~ Healing Hearts rescue will also provide dental procedures, bloodwork, surgeries, and/or any other additional vet work as needed while dogs are in our care.
