Vanilla is an absolutely amazing girl and required no adjustment time to fin in beautifully with the family. She is disinterested in my cat, plays gently with my disabled dog, and "goes all out" with my regular dog. Vanilla knows when the play is getting out of hand and will remove herself from play until the other dog calms down. She loves to play; fetch, tug-of-war, and wrestling. She is intelligent and responsive. Vanilla lets herself out of the doggy door to go potty and has largely house-trained herself! Plus, she is crate trained but it isn't needed as she is excellent when alone in the house. Vanilla likes to share attention with the resident dogs but is happy to give her foster mom space when she needs it. She walks on a leash very well, is a little sneaky with food (not all food agrees with her) so sometimes she gets a sensitive. stomach. And is vocal when she sees other dogs on her walk.
Another thing she likes to do is to go out with her foster mom and ride in the basket on her bike (strapped in of course)! She's following in the footsteps of another famous dog who rode in a basket. ToTo! Vanilla also has hair growing beyond her paws so foster mom calls her "my little hobbit with hairy toes". She is also fun to dress-up and wore her tiger outfit all day Halloween.
As you can she is a wonderful, darling girl who would love to meet you!

Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners. Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.
