Hi, I’m Bacon! I love naps, car rides and long walks on the…well anywhere.  My foster mom says everyone loves Bacon and I love other dogs, all people and I’ve even lived with cats. Being able to sleep in the bedroom with my family is the best, even if it has to be on a dog bed.  Crates are not as great but we are playing some yummy games that foster mom says should help. I get sad when I’m separated from my people so I do bark to remind them they left me behind but I settle after a few minutes.  I know some cool tricks already like sit, down and shake.  Do you think you want to go on adventures together? 

Foster mom here: Bacon is a BIG puppy who (like most puppies) doesn’t understand his size.  Due to his size obedience training and continued socialization are a must. He loves walks and we are working on leash manners.  Bacon lights up when he sees children, he does however have a jumping habit we are working on correcting.   He is fully potty trained. Due to his barking when you leave we do not recommend shared walls.  As expected with his breed he loves being outdoors so a yard is recommended.  He has experience with both physical and invisible fences. Bacon would do best either with another pet for company or a human who is home more often than not.  Bacon has a great disposition, is eager to learn and will make a spectacular family member with appropriate training.

**Note on breed and age determination: 

Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners.  Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.

ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:

• Wellness check
• Spay/neuter (puppies adopted with required spay/neuter certificate)
• Age appropriate vaccines - rabies and distemper combo 
• Heartworm test if over 7 months of age
• Fecal test and/or deworming for parasites
• Microchip ​

~ Healing Hearts rescue will also provide dental procedures, bloodwork, surgeries, and/or any other additional vet work as needed while dogs are in our care.
