Niko is my first foster dog and he is the sweetest best dog. 

 

He gets along very well with my three small resident dogs and is very submissive.  In the past Niko has also lived harmoniously with birds and cats. He has never had an accident in the house and is a pure gentleman. He doesn't pull on his walks and is good in the car, he just lays down and lets you take him anywhere you want to go. 

 

Niko is goofy, silly and acts like a young puppy.   He loves to play fetch, play with his “babies” and toys.  With his long legs he sprints like a gazelle very graceful and careful. He can jump very high and has cleared baby gates.  He has a deep voice but he doesn't constantly bark.  Although he does not like his crate he is trustworthy free-roam in the house. 

 

He is a little shy around men but is warming up nicely to my husband.  Niko does have a little anxiety when I leave the home and that will require continued work. Due to this anxiety a companion dog is required. 

 

I just love Niko very much he is going to make somebody a wonderful pet.

**Note on breed and age determination: 

Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners.  Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.

 

ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:

• Wellness check
• Spay/neuter (puppies adopted with required spay/neuter certificate)
• Age appropriate vaccines - rabies and distemper combo 
• Heartworm test if over 7 months of age
• Fecal test and/or deworming for parasites
• Microchip ​

~ Healing Hearts rescue will also provide dental procedures, bloodwork, surgeries, and/or any other additional vet work as needed while dogs are in our care.
