Chato (aka Pickle) is a very social dog. Whether he is playing at the dog park or snuggling with a human he is always happy! He is very good with all ages of dogs and cats. Kids would be a good buddy for him...only downfall is he likes to "lean in" for his hugs! His favorite sleeping arrangement is in bed with you but he is also happy in his own bed next to yours. He is potty trained and adjusts easily to new environments. Chato prefers to not be left alone for long periods, but if he has another dog with him he is fine. He is a very well behaved dog that would be great for adventures...he comes with his own back pack:)! Playtime can be fetch with a ball or frisbee too! He even self entertains with his own bouncy ball.  

 

Unfortunately he was diagnosed with heart worm. With his test result showing a mild trace of it. He will need treatments over the next few months which include bringing him to but not paying for them by his Foster-to-Adopt family. Message with any questions. He is definatley ready to find his forever home

**Note on breed and age determination: 

Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners.  Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.

ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:

• Wellness check
• Spay/neuter (puppies adopted with required spay/neuter certificate)
• Age appropriate vaccines - rabies and distemper combo 
• Heartworm test if over 7 months of age
• Fecal test and/or deworming for parasites
• Microchip ​

~ Healing Hearts rescue will also provide dental procedures, bloodwork, surgeries, and/or any other additional vet work as needed while dogs are in our care.
