Hi I’m Lizzie! Sometimes people call me Grandma Lizzie, Liz, or Lizzard. As long as they’re talking to me, I don’t care what you call me. My favorite thing in the entire world is YOU! My perfect day would be waking up with you, eating breakfast with you, letting you pet me, a quick walk to check on the local squirrels, then back home where you can pet me some more until it’s time for dinner. I am a mature 10 year old lady but that doesn’t stop me from the occasional jumping around. Stairs aren’t my favorite, so I prefer to stay on the same level of the house all day. Right now I’m staying with my two foster siblings and I sure love their company. I’d be okay by myself though as long as you agree to keep me company! When you do leave the house, I can be crated, but I’ll be sure to roll my eyes at you. See, I prefer a spare bedroom with the door shut, an old lady needs her alone time to spread out on the bed and relax! I’m very polite, in my humble opinion, I don’t jump onto your bed, I prefer my dog bed. (Although I’ve been known to sneak attack onto the couch for some love.) Don’t let my age fool you, I am spunky! I even keep up with these young dogs on all their walks. I’m 60 pounds of adorableness and I know it. I’ve had a long life and have some scars to show it, but all I really need is a comfy bed and all the love and affection.

Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners. Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.
