Calling all cuddlers! Ellie Mae is such a sweet and affectionate girl. She loves to play hard and then cuddle with her people. She loves to play tug and fetch, but all toys are good toys. She’s a chewer, so keeping her busy with tough chew toys and treats is a must! She walks great on a leash and is doing great with potty training! She knows to alert someone if she needs to go out. Ellie Mae does well in her kennel and doesn’t have any accidents in it. She may whine at first, but she quickly settles in while I’m away. Ellie Mae is very curious, so new sounds, people, wildlife, etc. may startle her, but with redirection, she can calm down. However, she would do best in a single-family home (no shared walls), as the noises of neighbors through the walls can upset her. Ellie Mae would love to find someone that is dedicated to continuing with training. She is so smart but will need continued discipline since she is just a puppy! Ellie Mae has been great with every human and dog she’s met! She adores people and loves having new dog friends. While she’s very independent, she does need to have another dog in the home for all of the stimulation that she needs. If you’re looking for a sweet, cuddly, cutie, look no further than Miss Ellie Mae!

Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners. Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.
