Hi my name is Lakai. I'm the biggest teddy bear you’ll meet! My foster mom loves snuggling me on the couch while we watch a movie. I’m working on my confidence and just learned how to go up and down stairs! I love going on walks with my older brother Arnie (another German shepherd) I even know how to heal! Car rides are my favorite too! I lay in back calmly. I’m very food motivated! Pepperoni is my favorite! I have yet to beg when you’re making or eating dinner. When my foster dad is outside doing yard work I love to be by him. I’m working on liking the crate. Sometimes it’s hard for me to relax in the crate knowing I could be hanging out with you instead. I’d much rather sleep on a dog bed in the room with you. Im extremely smart and in need of someone that is willing to build my confidence, has time to teach me new tricks, and take me to puppy classes.

**Note on breed and age determination: 

Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners.  Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.

 

ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:

• Wellness check
• Spay/neuter (puppies adopted with required spay/neuter certificate)
• Age appropriate vaccines - rabies and distemper combo 
• Heartworm test if over 7 months of age
• Fecal test and/or deworming for parasites
• Microchip ​

~ Healing Hearts rescue will also provide dental procedures, bloodwork, surgeries, and/or any other additional vet work as needed while dogs are in our care.
