Hello, my name is RJ , I am a sweet, playful and well behaved 4-year-old male Chihuahua/Pug mix! I’m full of good energy, and want everyone to be my friend. Beware I will jump into your lap as soon as I meet you. I love being rescued and will take all the lap time, hugs, back and belly scratches that my people want to give me!

Another well-tempered playful canine companion about the same size would be the perfect fit for RJ . RJ is excellent at walking on leash, he looks forward to each walk, is comfortable in his crate and is doing great with house training on a schedule. A secure fenced in yard is required for he loves to chase squirrels, run and do his business outside!

RJ is just getting use to living inside, he loves to explore and find new things, monitoring him at this stage is a good thing, he takes direction and follows other dogs and humans’ cues to what he should be doing. RJ is smart and can be a bit shy at times, but is learning confidence quickly with lots of “good boy”. He is pretty perfect! RJ just wants to be part of the family and have a home! He loves his toys, playing with his fur friends, bully sticks, carrot sticks, sitting on the window bench patrolling the neighborhood and most importantly lap time.

**Note on breed and age determination: 

Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners.  Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.

 

ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:

• Wellness check
• Spay/neuter (puppies adopted with required spay/neuter certificate)
• Age appropriate vaccines - rabies and distemper combo 
• Heartworm test if over 7 months of age
• Fecal test and/or deworming for parasites
• Microchip ​

~ Healing Hearts rescue will also provide dental procedures, bloodwork, surgeries, and/or any other additional vet work as needed while dogs are in our care.
