**Fence Yard Required**

Each year, the Great Punkin rises out of the punkin patch she thinks is the most perfect for a sweet, goofy red and white beagle, ready to gift the kindest family with tons of love, laughs, and snuggles.

And what is the perfect punkin patch? Let’s ask the Great Punkin!

“A typical day for a Great Punkin is waking up with my foster people and heading outside to go potty. My foster moms take me out to go potty! Then I run around in the house and play with my foster siblings, nap a little, and later try to figure out how to charm my foster moms into letting me out into the securely fenced yard to sniff around for awhile. I could sniff out there all day if they let me! Now that I'm used to my foster backyard, I can be let out all by myself early in the morning and late at night without fussing about the squirrels!   If it’s not time to be in the yard, sometimes I like to go look at the cat and see if he’ll play with me. I think we could be best friends if he just got to know me. Otherwise I like to curl up into a punkin-shaped ball near my people and snooze.

I’m really good at being potty trained as soon as I know the schedule. I can sit… after I get some wiggles out, because treats are exciting! I can even kennel! Sometimes I can just sleep a long time in the kennel, but sometimes I get lonely and a little scared in there. I do like being in a big kennel with my foster brother though, if he lets me. I'm also learning that a whole lot of new people sure think I'm cute and, man, do I love the attention. I’m even warming up to bigger, nice kids. I’m pretty brave about meeting other pups. And my foster moms have started to distract me with treats whenever there's a particular pup I really want to meet and talk to on our walks and, boy, do I love a good treat. It's getting harder and harder to remember that I want to meet those pups!  Everyone says I'm a really good learner and a really sweet girl, so maybe I'll have even more updates soon.

I can’t wait to to find my perfect punkin patch! I have so many snuggles and wiggles to give!

**Note on breed and age determination:

Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners.  Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.
