Hi!  I’m Samwise! Like my namesake, I want to be your very best friend!  I am a very sweet and gentle boy.  I love attention, once I get to know you, and will happily sit by your feet, or hop up next to you on the couch or bed.  Teaser toys are my absolute favorite!  If it has feathers, even better!  I am very curious and love to explore.  My foster mom thinks I might make a great lap cat one day, once I settle down a little bit of course.  I like to sleep by my foster mom.  I was pretty shy when I first came to my foster home, but I have really come out of my shell!  I really love my brother Bilbo, we are a bonded pair and need to be adopted together!  I also love older cats and dogs are pretty neat too!  I am very used to both dogs and cats!  I am so excited to meet my new forever family and be a loyal and loving friend.  Could that be you?

Hi!  I’m Bilbo!  I am the definition of small but mighty.  I have a very big personality and am pretty rambunctious.  I am a talkative boy and love being around my person.  I check in with my foster mom often, and while I don’t love to be held, I will come up to you for pets and walk across your lap. I love playing with teaser toys, or any toys really, but my favorite toy is my brother Samwise!  I’m also fond of older cats, and often seek out my foster sister to cuddle and get attention.  I am a little unsure of dogs, but could definitely learn to live with them.  Any dog I would live with would have to be gentle and patient with me, as I’m still unsure and sometimes swat at the dog in my foster home.  I am bonded to my brother Samwise, and we need to be adopted together!  Kittens do best in pairs anyways!  I promise we’re cute and will love you!  Like my namesake, I’m ready for my next adventure!  Could you be my new forever family?

**Note on breed and age determination: 

Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners.  Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.

ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:

• Wellness check
• Spay/neuter (puppies adopted with required spay/neuter certificate)
• Age appropriate vaccines - rabies and distemper combo 
• Heartworm test if over 7 months of age
• Fecal test and/or deworming for parasites
• Microchip ​

~ Healing Hearts rescue will also provide dental procedures, bloodwork, surgeries, and/or any other additional vet work as needed while dogs are in our care.
