It is cliche to say that this dog is special, but Macy is different. Although she loves to run in the back yard and chase squirrels, she has a special quality that would make me say that this dog would make an amazing emotional support animal or companion for a disabled person, as long as they stay at home or inside.

Macy is not a great walking partner, the prey drive in her breed background gives her keen awareness of all bunnies and squirrels along the way.  But the good part is that other than that she is very well trained.

Macy is the kind of dog that can be trained to lay with a bed ridden person or comfort an autistic person that needs a firm head laying on them, with a nice coat of fur therapy. Her shedding is very minimal, which is helpful for therapy clients.

She is potty trained and crate trained. Her bark is mostly at squirrels or dogs walking by. She is friendly and playful with other dogs and loving with all people!

Adoption Fee: $395

**Note on breed and age determination:

Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners.  Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.
