My name is Camry. I came here from a puppy mill in Missouri and boy am I glad I did! I did not know life could be so wonderful. I was very shy and uncomfortable at first but slowly I am learning from the resident dogs and my foster Moms how to be the puppy I am. I have learned all above love and human contact. When my foster Mom rubs my belly or scratches my head, I absolutely love it. I am starting to learn that I can play with other dogs and I often get the zoomies. I also have discovered toys. I love all the stuffies in the house and the nylon bones to chew on. My most favorite thing though is the nice king size bed my foster Moms let me sleep on. I love to snuggle real close and even lay my head on their pillow. I am not super crazy about my crate but I will go in it sometimes even on my own. I might cry for just a couple minutes at first but settle in pretty fast. I have learned how to use the doggy door pretty fast by watching the other dogs. I’m working on potty training and only had one accident in the house. I do really well on a schedule and I can make it through the night. I want nothing more than to find my forever home. I do good with other dogs and I love all people. I am not sure about something they call cats but think I could learn to coexist. I am very smart because I am a poodle after all, I just need some more time to try learn how to be a dog. I promise I will make a very good companion and family member to my forever people.
As a Standard Poodle potential adopter, we want to make sure you are fully aware of the grooming commitment and financial upkeep that this breed will require. Most groomers around the metro will cost around $150-200 and poodles typically need to be groomed every 6-8 weeks. Please keep this in mind when deciding if a Standard Poodle is the right dog for your family.
Adoption Fee: $895

Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners. Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.
