My name is Holland, though my foster mom calls me Hollyberry. I'm an 8 year old female purebred Golden Retriever. I'm a very gentle girl, but am a little afraid of humans, so it's helpful to have a strong and confident fur sister. I just want to please my family, but it takes me a couple of days to trust everyone fully. Because I get scared easily, I will run away, so having a fenced-in yard and my foster mom using double leashes keeps me safe.

I don't talk much, but if I have to potty, I'll growl a little and hop around to let my humans know to let me outside. I also like to talk a little when I play outside with my fur sisters. My fur sisters have tried to get me to play inside, but I know that play time is for outside, so I just lay down by my humans to keep them company. My foster mom loves having me around. She says I am such a great dog and "oh so easy!" I keep my foster mom company all day, laying next to her while she works, and I follow her around to make sure she's safe. I'm looking for my permanent family whom I can trust, protect, and everywhere, and who wants me to be with them for the rest of my life. I'll be your perfect-mannered girl and make you proud!

**Note on breed and age determination:

Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners.  Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.

ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:
