Hi! My name is Imogene and I am a year and a half old shih tzu mix. I was born on Halloween & I have the most adorable underbite you have ever seen :) I weigh around 22 pounds. So another words, as cute as a pocket Shih Tzu's plus a few pounds! I am well behaved, and I love my new home because they have squirrels and bunnys that run around the backyard and I spend hours each day trying to catch them when I am not laying on the deck enjoying the sunshine. I'd love to do that in my forever home too. It takes me a bit to warm up to some humans therefor I may need slow introductions. But once I'm past the slow intro part, I love my humans HARD. I like a fenced backyard so I can chase squirrels, but I also walk well on a leash and can adjust to any home style. I enjoy playing with the other dogs but ideally, I like it to be myself and my owner(s). I am unknow with cats. I do like to bark at other dogs, especially when I am higher than them or they are on the other side of the fence. I don’t dislike other dogs but I will need slow introductions. I like to keep my distance from other dogs. About 6 feet is good for me. I am friendly and kind to other dogs but I love my human family and I prefer to be the only family dog. I am very mellow when I am inside, well even outside. I don’t get too excited. I am great with kids. I love to snuggle and be wherever you are. When left home alone, I just hang out on the couch and wait for you to return. I can also hang out in a crate if you want but my current family just leaves me out when they are gone. I just sleep and wait for you to return. When you return, I am excited to see you and wag my cute little tail! I am not afraid of loud noises or vacuums or water. I am house trained. If you sleep in too late, I will wake you up to take me out. I am very well behaved and cant wait to meet my new family. Please note, I am not hypoallergenic. My fur is coarse and does shed some. I will need to be groomed regularly but I sit perfect for brushing.
