Walt Whitman is a fun, spunky, playful, adorable little cuddle bug who is just discovering himself. He’s learning that he loves to explore and meet amazing new kind people at the dog park. And because of his adorable personality, he receives lots of kind pets and sweet talk, which is totally Walt ’s love language (as he is a poet). He loves going on walks and hunting for birds, squirrels and other critters. And of course bumping in to a neighbor with their small dog.

At the moment he’s more people oriented then dog, but he has played with his foster brother for a while before running back to foster mom for more cuddle time. Within the home, he prefers older/respectful kids.  Walt Whitman wouldn't mind being an only dog, but if he had another dog within the home he would choose another small dog or calm larger dog. He gets along with large dogs but due to his size they can be intimidating to him. He loves toys, squeaky and bones to chew on. But most of all he’d love a furever home all his own where he can be cuddled and cherished for a life time!

Adoption Fee:  $495

**Note on breed and age determination:

Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners.  Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.
