Hey, I'm Heihei! The human child aptly named after the chicken in Moana. I am endearing and sweet, but maybe not the sharpest tool in the shed. What I lack in sharpness, I make up for in enthusiasm! Life is just SO AWESOME!
I love my humans so much that I wag my tail in circles when I see them. I get so excited and I'll hop around like a puppy, then go find a squeaky toy to chew on. Foster mom says I'm 8 - I think she's got good jokes. I have the knowledge and patience of an older dog in that I don't chew on the child's toys, I am a gentleman in my kennel, and I'm potty trained (minus one day where I marked the house as mine and foster mom informed me that is something I should do outside). I am ready to play or relax - whichever you'd prefer.
I get along really well with the Yorkie in my foster home. She says as long as I leave her alone, I get to stay here. What a deal! I also have two female Pitbull foster sisters that I get along fairly well with however, we all have big personalities so foster mom has to keep an eye on us to mitigate potential scuffles. I have a foster brother and, boy, do I wish I didn't. I don't know what it is about him, but I do not like him one bit. I did meet a Standard Poodle once on an outing and I did okay with him. I think I'd really prefer to live with female and/or submissive dogs that are smaller than me. I would also thoroughly enjoy being your one and only!
I have met the cats in my foster home and I wish they would want to be my friend as much as I want to be theirs!
I love winding down with my foster family and chewing on a bone while we watch tv. They also have these really fun "indestructible" squeaky toys here that I just cannot figure out how to get them to squeak beyond pouncing on them. I will usually pounce on it, grin at foster mom that I made it squeak, and then lay down, happily wagging my tail while chewing on the toy. I am also game for a nice walk, and I do pretty well on the leash. My leash skills could maybe use a little refining, but I'm pretty good about not pulling on the leash. I also listen really well (unless I see deer that need a stern talking-to.)
I am ready to be by your side in my golden years, showering you with endless love
Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners. Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.
