Hi I'm Eddie and I'm a stage 4 clinger if you are my person, the object of affection or my heart's desire. In order for you to be that person, you just have to be either the person I fall in love with or just the only person around and then I gravitate to you and never let go! If you're my person, I'm the most wonderful dog ever! Now, if you're not my person, I'm an annoying little 5 pound turd who wants to bark and nip at you. Especially at your ankles when your back is turned! That's why my foster mom sometimes calls me Eddie Munster. I'm getting help for this. My foster mom is trying to counter condition my brain, she says, so that I associate other people with good things for me. It sums up to a bunch of treats for me whenever other people are around me.
Now since I am a work in progress, I am not a good candidate for a home with children. I may be small, but I have sharp little teeth. I would actually be perfect for a single person that doesn't have visiting children. I can be managed though, like people who aren't my person tend to walk backwards around me and of course I'm easy to hold for my person and that always settles me down. I'm also crate trained for when my person isn't home. You're going to want me to sleep with you though because "expert snuggler" could be my middle name. I am all about under the covers and burrowing in!
If I'm yours, you are loved to the ends of the earth. I'm not quite potty trained only because it's just too cold outside. Other dog friends I know are just crazy for going out there to potty. I think I'll do better learning in the spring. I do okay with potty pads and I will happily wear a belly band too. I'm not a marker, so once it's warmer, I should be easy to train. Plus, I'm told I'm quite smart for my size! I Also, I want to add that I'm afraid of blow dryers. Please fill out an application if you'd like to meet me!
Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners. Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.
