ZZZzzzz…zzzz.  Oh. Hi!  You look interesting. Wanna cuddle? See my tail? It wiggles because I love you. You’ll have to excuse me, though, I’m still getting used to people being nice to me. I can be a little shy. My past life was not much fun. I was locked up all day, only to be let out to make babies. This momma is tired! Any time you see me, I’m probably asleep. 

My name is Pria. If you can’t tell, I LOVE sleep. I can curl up in a ball and sleep in my kennel or a fluffy pile of laundry all day. I’m a low maintenance girl. I don’t need much. Food, the occasional walk or potty break, and a nice, warm place to snooze will make me happy.

Most people think beagles howl and bark REALLY LOUD!  Not me! I moan and grumble from time to time. I whimper when I’m hungry or need to go outside. I have lots to say, but I know to use my inside voice.

Sleeping is extra fun if I can do it with my people nearby. I will press my face into your side, soaking in all the rubbies. My foster dad says tying his shoes is hard to do sometimes, because once he bends down, my head is already in his hands. Now he just tucks his laces into his shoes so he doesn’t have to tie them. That’s no fun! I demand constant pets!

My previous life caused me to have several teeth removed, so I eat mostly canned food, or kibble that’s been soaked in water. Cheese is delicious! But it has to be in very small pieces. I like meeting new dogs in the neighborhood, but big, loud, hyper ones scare me. When I’m eating around other dogs, I can be food aggressive, so I may be best as an only dog, unless you’re willing to teach me otherwise.

When outside, my little body hates the cold, so I won’t make you wait too long as I do my business. Don’t let my small size fool you. I bet I run faster than you back to the door! Brrrr! Open up! Let me in!

My ideal home would be quiet, with no stairs. I have no issue climbing stairs today, but I’m not a young pup anymore. I’ll only get older, and my tiny legs may not work so good one day.
