Hello! My name is Farrah and I am a lover even though people in my past did not treat me well. I am a bit shy at first but once I know I’m safe I love to be with people and other pets. I’m happy to sleep on the bed/couch with people or on my own bed on the floor close by. I enjoy playing with other dogs and with toys. Cats are cool too.
For a hound I am very quiet - no howling, growling or barking. My foster mom has only heard me bark a couple of times when there were loud noises outside. I love using my hound nose to explore my surroundings and get to know people and places! The resident dog at my foster home doesn’t like to play much so I leave her alone and play with toys on my own or with my humans.
I’m a super sweet and laid-back girl and everyone at my daycare loves me! I’m very social and friendly and I’d love to live in a home where I can have a confident doggy pal who likes to play. I do not like to be in a crate. I have proven to be quite the escape artist and given myself a few scrapes. I have done well with being left out in the house with other dogs for short periods of time and working up to going for longer.
My ideal owner would work from home or have the ability to take me to daycare or a family/friend during the workday so I am not left alone for long periods of time. My potty training is going very well!! I’m learning to indicate when I need to go outside by pacing and walking to the door and haven't had an accident in over 2 weeks!
Thanks for reading my bio and I hope you will consider giving me a forever family to call my own!

Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners. Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.
