“I am going to make you an offer you can’t refuse”. My name is Nico, although you can also call me Don Vito (from The Godfather), as my foster mom strongly feels I have the same frown as The Godfather himself.
I am a pure bred Shih Tzu. The days at the breeder’s have not been too kind to me. I had to learn to grow up to fend for myself. I probably was never groomed since I was born. I thought smelling bad and walking around with huge matted fur and feeling painful is part of life until I had my first bath and most of those weights cut off from me.
But I am a resilient fighter. I rise to the occasion! Like they said, “Revenge is best served cold”, now I am living the life I should have been given and the best is yet to come.
I am somewhat potty trained, but sometimes in new environments I still enjoy leaving my macho scent behind. I love humans and the little ones too, although I do enjoy my personal space very much. I heard little humans below maturity age might not be able to resist my cute face and cross that boundary when I need that space. I will growl to warn, and I might nip afterwards if you continue to ignore my personal space. Hence I would be more suitable to be in a forever family who can accommodate and understand my quirks.
I adore and trust my foster dad and my foster mom is super jealous about that. I enjoy going outside and getting good massages. I know how to pick the comfiest blanket to lay on. I enjoy food very much but I am still learning to eat out of a human hand. I sleep on the bed with my foster dad, and if you like a dog who can project good snores while he sleeps, I am the guy for you! I love to take walks with my foster human-child (11 yrs old). I am a good guard dog as I am always the first to alert my foster family of any suspicious activities or possible “trespassers” such as those things with big tails (squirrels) or just big dogs passing through the property.
I would be a great “Cannoli” for you!
