Hi, I’m Eliza. I am told that I am a very sweet girl who is soft as bunny, whatever that means. I am good around other dogs, kids and cats. I do get a little scared of people at first but it does not take me long to come around and come looking for some love. I like better if you are sitting down at first instead of standing over me because I am so tiny! I love my belly rubbed and my ears scratched. I love to be around my foster family.

I am working on potty training and do pretty good on a schedule. I do let my foster mom know when I have to poop by going around and round in a circle-so lots of time for my foster family to get me outside. Sometimes I ring a bell on the door to go outside, but sometimes I ring it just for fun.

I have been doing some crate training and I only let my foster mom know I would rather not for a few minutes now, sometimes I even go in there on my own. I am not a barker, I only bark when it’s time to come inside or someone forgot to bring me where the action is. I want to be around people.

Before being released from the breeder I never knew what a leash was. I have been working on leash training and I do make my foster mom laugh because I just sometimes don’t wanna and I am really good at dragging my feet.

Things I don’t like: sleeping in a kennel-i would rather snuggle with you, stairs, and being alone for a long period of time. Being outside for very long.  My foster mom works from home and I am a quiet girl who just lays on a chair snoozing till it’s time to play.

Things that make me bark: being outside for too long, it’s cold! Being in my kennel when I know people are home and I am missing the action.

Things I like: people beds, couches, belly rubs, ear scratches and intense direct eye contact. (I will always beat you in a staring contest)

I can’t wait to find my forever home. ❤️

**Note on breed and age determination:

Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners.  Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.
