My name is Leo and I'm a 1.5 year old neutered lab! I'm energetic and love to play outside. When I'm not carrying toys thru the house or running with the other dogs at my foster house, I enjoy a nice nap on the floor or in my human's lap. My ears are velvety soft and always get stuck inside out! I am so silly! I do great with dogs and kids. I am alright with cats, but my high prey drive causes me to chase the cat at my foster home sometimes. I'd do great in a home with another dog to play with, but being an only dog and getting all the attention wouldn't be a deal breaker.
Leo came into rescue as an owner surrender. He was a COVID purchase and the family could not keep up once the kids went back to school. It is suspected that Leo did not get much 'inside' time before coming into foster; he was afraid of the stairs and needed some coaxing to accept love and snuggle on the couch. After only a week, Leo conquered stairs and has become the biggest love bug in the house. He has quickly learned sit and wait and is still working on kennel training. Leo is a very quick learner, as he is both food and praise motivated. He will still need some help/training from his new family to learn a few more inside manners, but he's overall a well-behaved gentleman.
