Patch is like the pair of slippers beside your bed, the cool side of the pillow, the perfect cup - that reliably good thing.
He's aged in all the best ways - super cozy, nice and mellow. He gets along great with everyone he meets - dogs and people of all ages. He would appreciate respectful or older companions due to his calm nature. While he hasn't shown a super playful side in his foster home, he does love to explore outside and go for pretty long walks. His forever family should plan to stay active with him daily. When being outdoors isn't an option due to weather, he gets some mental exercise instead and likes to show off his tricks for treats! Do you think you can teach an old dog some new tricks?!
Patch is house trained on a schedule, currently going out every 4-5 hours during the day & crate trained but trustworthy loose as well. He sleeps through the night in bed with his foster family and has some adorable roly-poly moves in the morning when he is prompted to wake up. He loves the crinkly sound of a treat bag, chewing on No-Hides, Kongs filled with frozen yummies, massages, piles of clean but not-yet-folded laundry, and car rides. He is an incredibly sweet, easy-going little man who is seeking that thing - someone happy at the other end of his leash, a full food dish, a spot on the couch forever - that reliably good thing we call family.
Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners. Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.
