Hiya, friend, I'm Odette! I am so excited to meet you and tell you all about me!
I love to play, and I'll play with anybody - big humans, little humans, and all sorts of dogs. I love to wrestle with the other big dogs in my foster home. They're older than my spry 1.5 years, so sometimes they tell me that I need to calm down a little. I listen to them *really* well. After all, if they think that they're the boss, they're much more likely to play with me again!
There are all sorts of different animals at my foster home (they say they live on a farm??) I like to "sneak up" on the chickens on the other side of the fenced yard and scare them off. Hehe! They fly off, clucking angrily, and I run back to foster mom with a big grin on my face. I'm pretty proud of my ability to keep her safe AND amused. I've also met cats and I'll be honest, their existence scares me and then I'm not always the nicest to them. I'd be happiest in a home without cats.
Since I was found as a stray, I've likely never lived in a home before so I am learning all the rules. It was tough in the beginning, but I'm really starting to get the hang of it. I've learned that my kennel is a great place and I'm quiet as a church mouse in there through an 8 hour work day, and I've nearly figured out that I should go outside to potty every time I feel the urge. My biggest potty struggle is that I love you so much and I want you to know that you're the boss, so sometimes I pee a little when you pet me. Foster mom and I are working on it together - I've gotten much better as I've gotten to know her and trust her.
I've found the best part of living in a home is the access to human affection whenever I want it! The smallest human (they call her a child?) gives me all sorts of love and attention, and I love that! She will also laugh and play with me. Sometimes I forget that she isn't a dog, and I'll boop her with a paw or two, which just makes her laugh harder and "boop" me back. That's so silly and makes me smile!
I am just a silly, playful, fun-loving pup looking for a fun-loving family to call my own. I promise to bring you endless joy and laughter.

More about Odette
Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Good with Kids
Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners. Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.
