Hi! My name is Zara. My foster mom thinks Kiss would've been another name option, because have you seen my tongue?! I think MJ would've been a good option too, because my vertical jumps are comparable to Michael Jordan's, especially when it's meal time. I love food and treats more than anything, so when my mom starts putting my meal together I'll jump as high as the counter to make sure she's doing it right. Don't let my age fool you, because I can do everything my younger foster siblings can do and then some (I.e. jumping as high as countertops).
I have absolutely no problem keeping up with my foster siblings on walks. In fact, sometimes I'm ahead of them and have to slow down for them to catch up. I love going on walks so much, and my foster mom says I do so well on the leash! My foster mom takes me outside every few hours to go to the bathroom, which means I do a good job of not having accidents inside. I'm a really good sleeper and don't need to be taken outside in the middle of the night. I sleep in bed with my foster mom, and there have been some days where my mom has to wake me up in the morning because it's 11am! I promise you don't have to worry about me affecting your sleep schedule, because I also love to sleep during the day.
Although I love to sleep, I definitely still have some sass and personality. I make my foster mom laugh and smile all the time. I love my foster mom, but I also love all other humans, including strangers! I'm a pro at giving kisses. I get along great with my foster fur siblings, but I'm still learning how to play with them. My foster mom thinks I'm making great progress, though, and I just recently started playing fetch with her.
I really enjoy being around my foster mom, which is why I don't like when she leaves and puts me in a kennel. I make sure to let her know of my disapproval of her leaving by barking the entire time she's gone. Do you blame me though?! I need belly rubs and pets, which she should know takes priority over her weekly trip to Chuck & Don's, unless she's getting me something I can put in my belly of course.
I know you'll fall in love with me as much as my foster mom has. All I want is to live out my golden years in a forever home. I have so much love and affection to offer, and I promise you'll enjoy being around me as much as I'll enjoy being around you. Please give me a chance and don't let my age affect your decision. I hope to see you soon!
