Hi, there!  I'm Isabelle and just as beautiful on the inside as the outside.  My foster family says I'm bubbly and happy everyday.  I love to roll around in the blankets and cuddle with both my foster parents.  Hanging out with my foster sisters is fun and relaxing too.  They taught me that I can love be covered with blankets while napping and that I don't have to always wrestle with the blankets.  I ride in the stroller and bike basket with my sibs.  I love cruising the neighborhood.    My foster mom says I have a ringing endorsement for a sparkling personality because my foster sisters (e.g. poodles) think I am GREAT.  They like hanging out with me almost as much as I like it.

My foster mom says I have some things to work on because my cotton candy demeanor can suddenly change to vinegar when I see other dogs.  Learning to not be "dog reactive" is a big goal for me.  Mom corrects me and sometimes I listen to her and sometimes... well, I still need to run my mouth.  I  didn't have the best training as a pup and I have some basics to master as an adult now.  I need to learn not to jump up on people and to not give them love bites.  Mom told me that people might think I am biting them when I am really being mouthy.  I should have learned this when I was a puppy.  She says I am making improvements in my time here.  I no longer bark when people enter the room.  I also consistently go potty outside.  We are on a schedule here and I don't have "free access" so mom says these methods are helping me learn.  I also had bladder surgery so everything inside feels better too.  I have climbed a "steep hill" with healing from surgery and learning so many things here.

If you're interested in knowing more about my achievements, I will happily share more about my training.   I am masterful with walking on a leash next to mom, climbing stairs and riding in the car.  Learning to sleep in the kennel is a new skill I am working on and each day is better.  I am a pro on the treadmill as well as taking naps in a fluffy bed next to my humans while they do office work.  In my training, I am working on staying calm while my mom is out of the room or out of the home.  Understanding the household routine and keeping a schedule will helps me a lot.  Because I've got a sassy bark, apartments or shared walls might not work for me.  I can be easily corrected and quiet down as my foster mom says, BUT my forever human needs to be "very consistent with training techniques."  I love routine and consistency.

As I mentioned, I am healing up from bladder stone removal surgery and everyone is pleased with my progress.  Because of this condition, I need prescription food for all of my years.  My appetite has improved greatly after surgery and I love this new food.  I lick my chops when I see foster mom holding my food dish and I clean it out 2 x day.  My foster family is so impressed with how quickly I recovered from surgery and how my bubbly personality has emerged.  They say I'm a charmer and so easy to love.  My foster family says I am super smart and they are proud of me.

If you are committed to helping me stay healthy with Rx food and avoiding another surgery, I will repay you with kisses.  If you are committed to continuing my training and helping me unlearn some habits, I will take your direction.  C'mon, let's figure out if we're a match.  Hurry up and apply!

**Note on breed and age determination:

Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners.  Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.
