Reba, a reddish shepherd/husky mix (note the two different colored eyes), has all the wonderful qualities you would expect in this combination: loyal, large, alert, gentle and calm with all kinds of people and children. She will follow you around the house and just wants to be wherever her humans are. She is exceptionally gentle with younger children. She loves to be near her humans, be petted, and generally just hang out wherever you are. She sleeps near her foster’s bed on the floor. She also enjoys being outside, simply exploring the yard. She would enjoy a fenced yard, although this is not required. Reba is 100% potty trained and can be crated but also does great being left loose. She is a delight to have around!
Reba's ideal home would have no other dogs as she loves to be the queen of her family. She has successfully been in foster with another dog part of the time and has been working on learning good manners with new dogs she meets. This looks like her growling/barking at times, although she is easily re directed by the foster. She also has been an only dog in her foster home, and she seems to enjoy this. She LOVES, LOVES walks! She often will stand by the door waiting to go for a walk! She can be leash reactive around other dogs – again, is easily redirected with a firm verbal correction.
