Teagan is a zesty, adventurous puppy with a soft and cuddly side too. Currently her foster family includes 5 humans, the smaller ones ages 12, 9 & 7, two other dogs and an old cat. Teagan loves the other dogs and enjoys play time with the littlest human especially. She also likes helping foster dad work from home with regular snuggles. Her beautiful brindle coat is very soft and so far has not produced shedding. Teagan has typical puppy habits. She is still a pretty active chewer and definitely considers you a viable option, particularly in those exciting moments of reunion. However, she does a terrific job of redirecting to an appropriate dog toy when corrected. She has definitely gotten better at not chewing hard, but still needs reminding. She plays excellently with other dogs, but needs to work on how she greets them when she’s on the leash.
Just a day after coming to her foster family, Teagan became very sick with distemper. There were a lot of scary days of her not eating and her only sounds being an awful coughing. She is doing much better and is a happy, fun-loving puppy! Teagan is a growing girl and loves her chow. She isn’t possessive about it but is very eager at meal times and loves treats for good deeds. She knows “sit” and “go in your crate” and has even started to do well at recall. Teagan is in the home stretch on potty-training. During the day she goes to the door when she needs to go out to do her thing. The only home accidents have been when her humans haven’t paid attention to how long it has been and we are hanging out upstairs where she can’t give her at the door cue. Once she knows how you want her to let you know she needs to go out, she should have it down. Teagan goes to her crate for bed without a fuss and makes it through to morning no problem. Recently, leash manners have gone a little south… meaning she’s become a puller and a weaver. Not uncommon for puppies and she’s eager to learn and she would love to take obedience classes with her family. Walks are very enjoyable and she has the bounciest little pep in her step. We think Teagan will bring a zest for life to her forever home…will it be yours?

Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners. Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.
