Reuben is the sweetest boy with a bit of a mischievous side. He will require a home with people committed to training him and who can provide lots of love and patience. He has a very strong nose (he's a former hunting dog) and will need help learning to be calm and patient around his food. Reuben loves having another dog as a companion and would do well with another dog in the house to snuggle with. It would be best to be with a playful non-territorial dog that is more submissive .

A slow feeder would be best for Reuben as he only knows how to eat fast.

Reuben was not potty trained prior to fostering but he picked it up in a day or so and now does very well on a schedule. He doesn't tell us yet when he needs to go, but with training we have no doubt he could get there. He sleeps with his crate closed in our room and is very content doing so, and has had zero accidents in his crate. He sleeps thru the night without any accidents . He does surprisingly well on the leash but can definitely use training in this area.

Reuben is so quiet that sometimes you'll forget he's in the room with you. HWe couldn't believe how easy it was to acclimate him to our home. We haven't seen how he is around cats or children, but we don't anticipate any issues.

He is the most loveable dog just waiting for you to take him home!

**Note on breed and age determination:

Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners.  Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.
