Hi, my name is Ranger, and I'm an adorable shepherd puppy mix! I'm super playful, and love hanging out with my human and dog friends. I’ve been known to playfully nip at people, but I'm learning that it's not as fun for them as it is for me. When I get all tired out, I like to nap on your feet. I like taking walks with you, but I’m new to this leash thing. Sometimes I get annoyed with it, and will sit down and refuse to move, but I’m working on it.
I’m a very quick learner! I already know the commands “come”, “sit”, and “stay”, and I’m very food motivated, so I’m sure to learn more tricks in exchange for treats!
I love everyone, and I especially like playing around with older kids and other dogs. Actually, I require another playful dog in my forever home! Some things I do not like are getting my nails clipped, and taking baths. They make me very anxious and scared. However, I do like splashing around in a kiddie pool during hot days, so hopefully that will help my bath problem. Long car rides also make me nervous, but with more experience, I’m sure I’ll adjust.
I’m potty trained and will whine at the door when I need to go, but I’m still young and can’t hold it for long, so I’ll have to be let out right away to avoid any accidents. I'm also an early bird! I go to bed at 10:30 and wake up at around 6:00. I’m able to sleep in my crate, though I wouldn’t mind sharing the bed!
I’m looking for a forever home with a family full of fun and love. I’m very excited to meet you!

Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners. Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.
