Loki is an approximately 1 year old husky-shepherd mix. A DNA test would be interesting to see what other breeds he has in him that are keeping him on the petite end of a medium sized dog. Regardless of what any DNA test would say, Loki is 100% "love-ham". This extremely unscientific term means he loves everyone he meets. It's pretty remarkable, considering he was lacking so much when he was rescued as a stray pup. No shelter, not enough food, and no humans taking care of him.
Since the day he came in to rescue , he has only shown love, affection, and a strong desire to please his people and play with the other pups in his foster home.
Loki is fully potty trained. He is playful and sweet, and so far not the little "mischief maker" that one would expect from a husky-sheperd mix. He has been left home uncrated for up to 5 hours without any issues. He does have the energy of his breed-mix, so he would really love it if his "pack" could include humans and at least one other dog in the home for him to play with. If you have a fenced-in yard that he can run around in and "patrol" for squirrels, that would be ideal.
He loves going on walks and requires some redirection when he spots squirrels. He also loves running around at the dog park with his foster pack, playing with toys, cuddling, and most of all, Loki loves YOU. :)
Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners. Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.
