Hey, hey, hey! I’m Lou. Sometimes my foster family calls me Mr. Longbody.
I’m not just your average dog, I’m a real character, the kind who would look great in a bowtie. While I’m a super happy go lucky guy who is down to cuddle and can sleep all night, my forever home should be:
-Cat-free - Possibly have a small dog friend in the house (I would also be happy as an only dog, but I love to play with my foster brother) -Older kids (I’m goofy and a little mouthy when I play) -Very active…I need several walks a day (currently at about 6 miles a day) on top of having time in the fenced yard to play. - No shared walls and a family that is patient with a bark that is much louder than my little body ( I can be loud and persistent during the day, especially when in the yard) -Full of toys for me to “shop” from and play with
In exchange, you get one sweet guy with a tail that won’t quit wagging—I have all the sweetness and energy of a puppy but with the potty training of an adult dog (no accidents in the house). ALSO, I’ve made so much progress in my foster home. I’ve learned how to sit, shake, lay down and I’m working on stay (it’s hard, I want to be close!)—and my foster moms say I’ve gotten better at reacting to other dogs on our walks.
Are you out there, Forever Family?

More about Lou
Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Good with Kids, Good with Adults, Very vocal
Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners. Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.
ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:

Spay/neuter (puppies adopted with required spay/neuter certificate)
