FENCED YARD REQUIRED

Hogan is an approximately 1 year old shepherd/lab mix with tender amber colored eyes.  He is happy, super playful, shy at first, still in the chew stage and 100% love bug.  Hogan would love nothing better than to snuggle, play and continue to learn from another dog and of course his humans.

Not sure on Hogan’s start, a stray, but the day he came into rescue, he has only shown love, affection, and a strong desire to please his people.  He finds comfort and direction with another dog in the house, a fenced yard to run and play and if you have a ball and plastic water pool that would be pudding on the cake. He loves to dunk for toys and lay in the water and while filling the pool he gets so excited to play with the bubbles and fizz from the hose.

Hogan is fully potty trained. He is playful and sweet, and a little "mischief maker" one would expect from a young shepherd mix.  He has been left home uncrated for up to 4 hours without any issues as long as he has his big boy chew bones and his dog sibling. Hogan also gives kisses and loves to give nose bumps to tell you he is by your side.

He does have the energy of his breed-mix, so he would really love it if his "pack" could include humans and at least one other dog in the home for him to play with. A fenced-in yard would be ideal that he can run around in and "patrol" for squirrels and play ball.

He loves going on walks and requires some redirection when he spots squirrels. He also loves running around the yard, chewing on big boy bones, playing in the water, cuddling, and most of all loves his pack leaders.

**Note on breed and age determination:

Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners.  Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.
