Hello hoomans! My name is Houston and I'm from Texas! I am a 5 year old pup with a lot of energy but don’t worry, I am the best cuddler you’ll ever meet and am a calm boy when I need to be. I love nothing more than being in my foster mom’s bed with her cuddling me and don’t be surprised if I follow you around the house, I just can’t get enough of you! Sometimes I bark when I hear unfamiliar noise but my foster mom says with more discipline and training I will be okay--she is teaching me the command “quite” and I already learned to sit and I know how to wait before meals and am working on “shake”! Oh and I'm potty trained!!!

I am a smart boy who will learn quickly if you just give me a chance. I love my foster brother, a small pomeranian, who is a little snappy but I tolerate it with good humor. I am very gentle with small dogs but sometimes I get a little too excited to see bigger dogs and get reactive. I LOVE people, I am so social and I will basically love anybody I meet right away. I haven’t met small children but I think I will love them as well.

**Note on breed and age determination:

Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners.  Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.
