Hello there! I'm Shep! My foster family named me that before they discovered I was a little lady and not a young lad. But I like the name Shep so I decided to keep it.

In the last few weeks I have learned a lot! I learned that snow is cold, but I still like it. That it is really fun to play tug of war. That baths are NOT fun, but I like being fluffy afterwards. That although I'm small I can really hold my own. I learned that I really love giving kisses. Oh and humans are so much fun especially when they give me snuggles and treats.

I have a great sense of humor, my tail is starting to curl, and my nose is totally boop worthy. When I run my little ears flop around and that makes everyone giggle.

Anyway that's a little about me. Can't wait to meet my new parents someday soon!

Working on potty training. Great at using puppy pad. Not crate or leash trained yet.

**Note on breed and age determination:

Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners. Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.

ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:

Wellness check
Spay/neuter (puppies adopted with required spay/neuter certificate)
Age appropriate vaccines - rabies and distemper combo
Heartworm test if over 7 months of age
Fecal test and/or deworming for parasites
Microchip

~ Healing Hearts rescue will also provide dental procedures, bloodwork, surgeries, and/or any other additional vet work as needed while dogs are in our care.

~ Adoption fees are non-negotiable and fees are listed on the dog's profile
