Hi, my name is Peggy! I'm as cute as they come and get around just fine even though my one of my front legs is shorter than the other. I’m very shy at first, but as soon as I get comfortable around you and your home, my true playful personality will begin to show!
I love going outside to bathe in the sun or chew on bully sticks, and I really like taking walks. I’m a bit nervous around strangers, though, and prefer to let them pass by me before continuing on my walk.
While at home, my favorite place to be is on your lap, and I give out plenty of kisses as well! I’m very familiar with the command to sit, but I won’t complain if you want to reward me with praises and, more importantly, treats! I just love food, so much that I have a tendency to eat it way too fast, so you may need to find ways to slow me down. At night, I will happily snuggle with you, but I’ll also sleep in the kennel if you want me to. I don’t mind being around other dogs, but I do want a quiet house, so older kids would be preferred. Can't wait to meet you!
Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners. Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.
ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:
Wellness check
Spay/neuter (puppies adopted with required spay/neuter certificate)
Age appropriate vaccines - rabies and distemper combo
