I'm a special little girl. 

I've been with Healing Hearts for a little over 6 months. I came up from Texas with a severe allergic reaction that took a long time to resolve. To date, the allergies remain of an unknown source but my symptoms & my reactions are managed with proper diet and a medication called Atopica. It's liquid & I'm told I take it like a pro. In fact, I've been a pro with all of the poking & prodding I've been through. Going forward, there's a chance that I won't need constant medication or special food but we're still working through all of this. Like human allergies, it takes time & patience to figure things out. 

My rescue name is Gumball but you get all my attention when you call Chi Chi. That includes coming when I'm called to come in from outside, getting my attention when you catch me chasing my kitty foster sister and everything in between. I LOVE to go for walks and tend to want to lead our small pack. I stop & smell trees, bushes, rotten leaves & fire hydrants. I like seeing other people & dogs outside but could live with or without other people or dogs in the house. 

My potty manners are impeccable if you let me out when I tell you I need to go. I'm not much for snow or rain so if you have a potty pad, my manners remain impeccable. 

I love to have my hair brushed which is good because I get frequent baths for my allergies. I take my bath just fine; okay, I scream a little. I know all the fussing is being done out of love for me but I scream a little to keep everyone honest. I also love to burrow under the warm blankets and sleep in bed with you!

I can't wait to find my forever family and hope you are the one for me.

**Note on breed and age determination: 

Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners.  Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.

ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:

• Wellness check
• Spay/neuter (puppies adopted with required spay/neuter certificate)
• Age appropriate vaccines - rabies and distemper combo 
• Heartworm test if over 7 months of age
• Fecal test and/or deworming for parasites
• Microchip ​

~ Healing Hearts rescue will also provide dental procedures, bloodwork, surgeries, and/or any other additional vet work as needed while dogs are in our care.
